The vision for Proviso Community Church is to be a body of believers committed to recapturing the essence of the early church.  According to scripture, they were devoted to the Apostle’s Doctrine (The Word), the Fellowship, Breaking Bread, and Prayer.  In addition to this they were a body of believers who demonstrated their love for their LORD through community, sharing, sewing (giving), and sacrificing for anyone in need. Acts 2:42-47

To capture this essence we will evoke both traditional and innovative means.  Leveraging technology and tradition to communicate and demonstrate the timeless truths of Jesus Christ, our mission is to be:

Simply Caring, Simply Community, Simply Church.

Our Community:

We at Proviso Community Church have an incredible passion for our community.  Proviso Township, which includes: Maywood 60153, Bellwood 60104, Forest Park 60130, Broadview 60155, Westchester 60154, Melrose Park 60160, Northlake 60164, Stone Park 60165, Franklin Park 60131, Hillside 60162, and Berkeley 60163 is our mission field.  Therefore our goal is to be a multi ethnic church designed to meet the needs of a diverse community.

The District 209 high schools: Proviso East High School, Proviso West High School, and Proviso Math and Science Academy (PMSA) have been entrusted with the awesome task of preparing the next generation of Proviso Township leaders through education.  Therefore we have resolved to offer ourselves as a church body to support these institutions in whatever capacity necessary.
